Common questions
Do parents and children use the same login?
No. A parent has their own account, and each child has their own. The parent account links to the children, and you choose which child you are looking at. The grown-up area is kept behind a gate so a child cannot wander into billing or settings.
What is a review credit?
Getting a piece of writing marked by PenLeap uses a review credit. Credits belong to a child. Your child never sees a price or a balance, only how many reviews they have left. Some credits arrive with a subscription and refresh each month, and any credits you buy on top never expire.
My child's homework says it is locked. What now?
Homework is set by a tutor and comes with a limited number of goes. If your child uses them all without reaching the pass mark, it locks and the tutor is told automatically. The tutor can unlock it, which adds another go. Homework does not affect your child's levels, badges or credits.
Can my child use PenLeap through their school as well as at home?
A child belongs to one organisation at a time. When a school or tutoring centre runs their account, that organisation may manage things like adding children and setting homework, and some options in your parent area will be handled by them instead.
How do I get my school or tutoring centre set up?
Apply for an organisation account and we will be in touch. Organisations get their own dashboard, classes, marking workflow, branding and reporting.
